This weeks guest is probably one of the most qualified personal finance bloggers that I know. With a Bachelor of Economics and a Masters in Finance, Barbara Friedberg is absolutely someone that I pay attention to when it comes to people dishing up financial advice. I really like Barbara’s responses to the questions, the advice is simple and easy to follow – which is exactly what we all need. Make sure you check out some of the wealth resources that Barbara has listed in this interview too, there is plenty to choose from!
Why do you blog and how long have you been doing it?
I started blogging in February 2010. I am passionate about sharing my years of investing and personal finance experience with others. I want to educate others to build wealth and minimize their money stresses.
Do you believe in budgets?
Yes. But for those who don’t, I recommend having a set amount deducted from each paycheck and transferred into a retirement or investment account.
Who is your hero?
My financial heroes are my parents. My life hero is my husband.

What is the worst financial mistake you have ever made?
I have made so many financial mistakes, it’s hard to choose just one. I guess it would be to watch a fund triple in value and not sell until it came back down to the amount I paid. But mistakes are how you learn, and all successful investors have many mistakes under their belts .
What is the best lifestyle decision you have ever made?
Always buy a house costing less than we can afford.
What is the best piece of advice ever given to you?
Get started saving and investing early
Something that people that currently read your blog may not know about you?
I am a decorating nut. Love HGTV and decorating projects. And I’m quite handy!
